Alfred Deller canta "I will give my love an apple"

 

 

 

 

an apple may look crisp and juicy 

but can be rotten at its core

 and many a fair maid has come to grief 

 after sinking in her dainty teeth 

only to find a mushy mess 

we can all guess what happens next

with the rest 

of this very sorry tale
