Portrait of his wife Berthe Morisot by Manet

Throughout her career, Berthe Morisot created a vast body of work, including stunning portraits, landscapes, and intimate domestic scenes. Her contributions to the Impressionist movement paved the way for future generations of female artists, and she remains an influential figure in art history.

the butchers
meat sold at racket prices
the coppers take a cut

Feeling Nostalgic.....

on a winter's afternoon
tears and memories

Cinquain

sleeping beauty's best friend
time flies we grow old no more cats

SUNDAYS WITH RALL # 8

<

 a contented cat

puss knows his place in the sun

squashing the pansies

not pushing up daisies

hard to adapt

to the new age of

tech torture

oh well

there's always tea

and a hug

wunderkind of the past

we all get old

artists do it better

you don't need a canvas

to create a masterpiece

an old tin shed will do

a few paints

and a free afternoon

the rituals

of courting have changed

the new age

does it differently

he is not thinking

shall i compare thee to a summers day

au contraire

he is not thinking at all

an apple ?

wouldn't go down well

these days

a new car or jewellery perhaps

diamonds are a girl's best friend now

knight in the true sense

devoted to saving the insects and animal species

of this very troubled planet

Never Smile at A Crocodile or A Baboon

the hyena

calls us

a gaggle of giggling gerties

the gorilla

calls us

a bevy of beautiful babes

we prefer

a troop of monkeys

tanked

ready and brave
