george and ringo good mates
we like humour down under
but soul like this...well

it could reduce a
tough bushie to tears laughing
at the same time

a colourful hippy knight

not unusual at the channon
everyone dresses so bright

twas many years ago now
eight years today this fall

indeed it is a puzzle
why i don't miss them much at all

For The Weekend

Loop Poem

his music never dates - it's been a long time
time stands still when it comes to van
van morrison not heard much any more
more's the pity -  what a musical man

Shadorma

i'm in love

who sings from the heart

You're Fired

Midweek Motif PU

even though
the moon belongs to everyone
the best things in life aren't free
sadly for most of us
a job is required for survival

this charming little outburst
of choreographed
spontaneity
in a city office
would probably
end like this

want food on the table
fruit for the sideboard
bills  paid?
best wear a deep shade
of conformist grey at work

try to fit in
don't stand out
smile and nod
on cue
pay attention
to dress code
ties in particular

When October Goes....Nancy Wilson

3WW...absorb empty certain
Sunday Scribblings 2
Acrostic haiku with Chevrefeuille MLMM
OctPoWriMo

when october goes
it will be hard
to absorb the fact
the empty hole
you left behind
may never be filled again

yet all things pass
you tell yourself
it's fairly certain
life will go on
even though no -one
knows how
they are going to survive it
at the time

so long october
adieu to laughter and love
dull never looked so good

School Days

Mid Week Motif...PU

the teacher
looks like a movie star
arrives with a hangover
turns off the lights
falls asleep on the desk
the kids watch a movie

does not give homework
no questions or talking
before 11 am
allows food and drinks
to be consumed
in the classroom

she is classified
as a bad teacher
most of her students
probably
would not agree

Bullies

all bullies
both adult and children
taunt
ridicule
humiliate

online
being the favoured
modus operandi

adult bullies hide
behind facades
lurk in all kinds of jobs
from the dog collar
to the classroom
needing constant approval
to bolster defective egos

they particularly like to  hide
behind  occupations
which take responsibility
for the young and the vulnerable
(easy prey )

thrive
off cruelty and suffering
wearing the approval badge
of respectability

Shadorma

innocent
a lovely nature
beautiful
sensitive
too good and kind for this world
they drove him to death

For all the victims of bullying
who found it impossible to sustain the torture
and took a way out

This poem is dedicated to you

toro struck by fear
carrying no illusions
knew
he was no match
for the mighty matador
and his gingham tea towel

defeated

prepared himself for death
by pointy end
