Perhaps the puzzle is solved in the question (as many are)...brightly coloured knights often lose their appeal as time moves on and we realise we can probably make a far better attempt at things ourselves ;)
Years ago my wife loved any sort of market (she didn't mention the men!) whilst I tagged along I enjoyed the atmosphere but bought little. She loved Paddington markets in Sydney too as she loved bling!
I live about a 10 minute walk from Paddington market. It has become too commercial and sanitised over the years. Lost its local crafty interesting feel. No characters there ...just trendies....I never bother to go. There is a better place to get bling now but I am not sayin' ...once the word is out ...it's over !
