two million words of wisdom
a theological masterpiece
difficult to  process
written in latin by St Thomas Aquinas
almost one thousand years ago
to make us think
bring about change
make the world safe
give us stability
not gamble with truth

come to think of it
i have been meaning to read it
but haven't because
i've been very tired
for the last few decades

the Christmas beetle
another loss due to
environmental degradation

christmas is not the same
without them
flying around on a hot summers night
part of the christmas decorations

that santa ate that fruit cake
and drank that lemonade
left for him by the fireplace

that clumsy angels were dropping

for her at all costs
her father was a judge
solitude was his preferred
situation

 she started searching for answers
where did his anger come from
why was he like this|
she noticed his frustration
with everyone around him
and life in general
it made her determined
never to do law
she became a rock star instead
