WEEKLY SCRIBBLINGS # 63

The Trees Don't Need To Know

whispering grass don't tell the trees

cos the trees don't need to know

tell one tree and the whole rain forest becomes a gossip fest

with a lot of questions  being asked about grass

if you hear the grass whispering

expect the approaching sound of sirens

the  men in white coats are  on their way

there was time

when i would have been thrilled

to welcome your gorgeous body

into my bed

but now

i want someone

who can discuss the summa theologica

whilst we peg out the washing

on the clothesline

together in the sunshine

and then make scones for afternoon tea

listening to George Benson

sorry sweetheart

too late !
