3WW...drag penetrate mumble
every word
every grain of truth
has to be extracted
like teeth
dragged from the mumble mire
of ingrained deceit
nothing can penetrate that
dangerous inscrutable elusive charm
a pot pourri of patchouli incense
sprinkled with gun powder

Kite
3WW..adapt glide lie
i said I wouldn't
look at that kite again
as I lie on my back
floating on buoyant blue
it's always there
watching over me
one day i will look up
and it wont be there
adapting to life
without that kite
is unimaginable
i said I wouldn't
look at that kite again
as I lie on my back
floating on buoyant blue
it's always there
watching over me

and it wont be there
adapting to life
without that kite

Angel
Artwork by Rallentanda
ANGEL ALERT
he said she was an angel
heaven sent
and
she liked it
the idea of
belonging to the
celestial club
had a certain
spiritual appeal
bejewell'd
in rubies and diamonds
clothed in finery
of gold threaded weave
she stood shining
a beacon in the dark sky
her presence like the
bright wing'd tipp'd lights
on a night plane
and
as she peeled off
layer after layer
removing all her adornments
presenting them as gifts
lo and behold
with nothing
left to give
she discovered her angel status
had crumpled
she had been placed into
the non celestial file
finding herself
rattling around
in a wastepaper basket
with other discarded
notepad memos
this did not prevent
her from smiling
she had been here
so many times before

NIGHT DRIVE
tearing along highways
empty
except for the
carnival lights
of road trains
an orange full moon
white lines
red
reflectors
magic
the landscape's
flood lit
mountain ranges
dance to
full blast
Gaga
excitement
don't let this end
let's just keep on going
'Yes' he said
smiles
smiles that happen
with speed
plans that happen
with flash lightning
laughs
laughs and squeals
that happen
with danger
of pea soup fog
all the way into
the metropolis
look left
on the bridge
wow!
and there she is
lights
marquesite jewels
on black velvet
winking
on a mirror of
glassy water
gorgeous seductress
how many time have I tried
to stay away
leave you
never to return
every time I see you
a lump in my throat
rises as I gasp
at your beauty
as if for the first time
especially at night
i'm running again
but I know I will
die in your arms
the way I feel this morning
after a 10 hour magical
adrenalin pumping drive
it will be sooner rather than later

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
This was controversial in 1968 and I believe that Mel Brooks the brilliant producer and director suffered a degree of stage fright for the first performance. "Humour is the weapon of unarmed people;it helps oppressed people to smile at the situation that pains them"...Simon Wiesenthal

For The Weekend
For Marek
Zakopane
he skied
down the slope
a tour de force
clutching at the wind
a manic dancer
scattering
shards
splinters
of brilliance
passionate
wild thing
ending
the ride
at dusk
softly
like
the sad
soulful
tender
plaintive
weeping
of the
slow movement

The Australian Crawl
dverse...oops closed... too late to put this on the site. No matter, was so inspired (knocked mi white socks off and left one in the middle of the sidewalk :) by one particular poem that I just had to put pen to paper so to speak.
head down
strong overarm
nuggety sturdy legs
speed the essence
no time for doubts
currents and treacherous tides
must be considered
if she is to reach
the other shore
swimming to him
across the vast ocean
with that music between them
reeling in her head
keeps her slicing through
those waves
arms aching
her small body
wracked with exhaustion
she treads water for a while
searching for an outline
through salt encrusted eyes
sometimes
she wants to surrender
to give in
to give up
but then he sends a message
via a soft breeze
just a few tantalizing notes
enough to set her off again
powering through those waves
head down
strong overarm
nuggety sturdy legs
speed the essence
no time for doubts
currents and treacherous tides
must be considered
if she is to reach
the other shore
swimming to him
across the vast ocean
with that music between them
reeling in her head

through salt encrusted eyes

to give in
to give up
but then he sends a message
via a soft breeze
just a few tantalizing notes
enough to set her off again
powering through those waves

Brits Do Humour Best
This post is for a British blogging friend of mine who has a warm, wicked sense of humour and very nice feet!
3WW....drench immune radiate
'Hi,I'm a doctor' he said
chat chat chat
'My wife's a bit of an old trout I'm afraid!"
Her immune system is shot from drugs I brought home in a coconut as a joke.
I'm off to a leper colony tomorrow in Nairobi. Care to join me?"
Her good eye sparkled and for the first time in decades she radiated that fuzzy glow. Unexpectedly a drenched vision in the shape of silk bloomer'd Dolly appeared before her all in a tizz.
Suddenly running off with a complete stranger to a leper colony in Africa held enormous appeal.
Monkey See And Monkey Do
Bluebell Books...monkey jungle beach safari story coconuts banana music
What's the story this time?
Dancing like a monkey
to jungle music on the beach
Wearing a 70's safari suit
Banging coconuts as maraccas
Slurping banana daiquiris
You told me you were on the wagon

An Apology
I would like to thank all those poets who comment on my posts. Unfortunately, if you are on Wordpress I am unable to comment on your sites for some inexplicable reason. (It's something to do with enabling cookies.) I am more likely to fly to the moon than ever to be able to execute such a technical feat which I know,is considered to be so easy, that anyone (except me ) can manage it in a heartbeat. )I am now restricted to prompt sites that accept Google Blogger.. for the moment at least.

Walled City

how many times
how many times
had she lay
on a creaky iron bed
in a cheap pensione
in the heat
of the afternoon
off a still baking street
in a walled city
treeless
geraniumless
art treasur'd bastion
of western culture
revered adulated
striving sacrificing
to get here
and soon afterwards
always
wishing she were
somewhere else

For The Weekend
Z moim sercem w dloniach twych
block your ears
resist the sad strains
of the seductive melody
from the soft eye'd beauty
zatkaj uszy
zanim bedzie za pozno
lower your eyes
or you'll melt
into her gaze and
lose yourself
obnizaja wasze oczy
zanim bezie za pozno
