3WW dose pierce appear
I had a dose of the blues
until you appeared by email
with cheery badinage larfs
and flars piercing the gloom
sometimes my declarations of love
are overwrought with violet hues
verging on laughs and lies
but in truth
I have never loved a man
who did not send me flowers
Thank You
A good bunch of 'flars'..like a shared dialect perhaps.. A dose of love for sure..Jae

ReplyDeletewho did not send me flowers I love that line, this is a beautiful crafted poem.
It is always nice to get little gifts of love.
ReplyDeleteLarfs and flars!! What an engaging piece capped off by that anagram. A good combination for love.
ReplyDeleteThanky'all for your generous comments.
ReplyDeleteA shared dialect is great Jae but flars are crucial for the clincher:)
Loved the colloquialisms in this poem! I don't like "flars" from my man. Just chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThis was a delight! Congrats on meeting the prompt... and then some. Amy
