shed doors
blank canvas in waiting
the magic of paint

i gave you
the key to my heart
you showed me the door

an old door
like an old sheila
has many uses

literacy
the door to
opportunity and success

who knows
what really goes on
behind closed doors

seek and ye shall find
the doors will be opened to you
when
when
when
when

knock 3 times
open sesame
surprise !

2017
the year to celebrate
the end of the door mat

Midweek Motif

ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed this post. Was amazed to see and remember what was my first grade reader and yes, that family's life seemed like a fairy tale to me, even back then. I especially love "you deserve to be happier than you are" for, yes, we all deserve that.
ReplyDeleteThe end of the door mat, indeed! Hahaha. I want to be proactive at each of these junctures--though I have a question about how the sheilas are used. Hmm?
ReplyDeleteOne of the most important things in like is being able to laugh at ourselves...you have helped considerably here.
ReplyDeleteThese are all precious Rail. You are so cool!
ReplyDeleteActually I'm sweltering. We are having a heatwave.:)
DeleteThis is great. I enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteouch giving the key to the heart to only be shown the door...
ReplyDeleteI love how each verse opened the door - an unfolding story - and a shift - the penultimate verse/picture was my favourite
ReplyDeletePoor kitty! Shown the door!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Rall! I certainly hope that 2017 is the year when...
