for Susan's prompt at What's Going On? on Wednesday: The Hill of Hope.
- What does the hill of hope look like, and how clear is its path?
- Does the hill look the same today as it did when you were younger? How is it different? How might we each see this hill differently than others do?
- Does geographical location play a part in what you see as hope?
- Does faith? YES
- If you climbed this hill or mountain, what would you see on the other side?
ππ
no need to climb the mountain
and see the promise land
all the clues are about us
here on this beautiful earth
all gifts from the Divine
before crossing the river styx
be sure to make your footprint
as small as possible
it is a grievous sin to desecrate
the earth
be cruel to no one
be kind
be aware of pocketless shrouds
camels and needles
pray and care for the sick and suffering
give thanks
give smiles
give love
reject satan
when he visits bearing gifts
and false promises
we have been told
the gates of hell
will not prevail against us
we must live in hope
Laudate Dominum
Deo Gratias

Rall, this poem is filled with wisdom. "Give thanks, give smiles, give love." If all would do that, we would have a much better world. And, yes we must live in hope....even on days when it is hard!
ReplyDeleteI love this very affirming poem, Rall. It is uplifting to read, in these times which have made me grow weary. I love all the positives and they are all Possible.

This is lovelier than lovely, Rall! I am in awe ππ
