no chimney for a stealthy santa

to visit on christmas eve

just a  lovely wreath

of pine and ribbon

a permanent fixture which lives on her bedroom wall

in an attempt to have christmas

70s hippy chick

talk about 

innocents abroad

so many

adventures

scare myself thinking about them

a big thank you

to my guardian angel

travelling deck class across the equator

when i was young

 they told me 

i could do anything

i could be anything

i believed them

don't think they had this in mind

reading a magazine in bed

rather than only finding the time

to do so in a doctor's surgery

is a dream of mine now

at some stage

probably will never happen

i dream of a quiet life

with lots of time on my hands

i want to know what it means 

to be at a loose end

i want to experience the luxury

of being bored

 stolen

by cruel circumstances

finding herself alone

devastated and destroyed

she slowly slowly

collected the broken bits

laboriously pieced them together

and like the snail

made them into a little home

she carried on her back
