I enjoy how you wove the poem around the song...a song I haven't heard in so many years. My grandfather was a baritone and he used to sing this with so much feeling. Thanks for the memories....
I love Andreas Scholl. I remember a performance of Handel's ?Julius Caesar (I think, it was a looong time ago) where the countertenor sang all night - for hours and hours and in the last act did these amazing crescendos - why aren't there gold medals for such athletic feats? (perhaps it was Graeme Pushee sp???)
