fruit cake at christmas
a baileys  nightcap
fresh crusty bread
fragrant laundry

swimming at high tide
in the ocean pool at night

fresh flowers and herbs
listening to jazz
gin and tonic
the smell of dawn
on the beach

my  life

they destroy our heritage
and its old buildings

serenading me

the tea tastes better
it's a salve for depression
a balm to soothe a sad heart
