Currawongs sound like humans. They are master mimics. They live in close proximity to suburbs across eastern Australia and copy environmental noises such as whistles, human speech and mechanical sounds like car alarms

the morning chorus
performs
right on cue
she pulls the covers
over her head
better than barking dogs
i suppose
What amazing creatures! Such a multitude of sounds. I would love to be awakened by them.
