3WW ...demolish resolution transform


my new years resolution is
to demolish my over imaginative
emotive embellished strident searing
vibrant aura and transform myself
into a beige taupe saccharine sweet
serene sanitized simpering mouse
and see what happens

Christmas Day

don't complain of snow
you could be here in white heat
baking festive frazzling hot
looking for a quiet spot
in the belief of penning
a poem for Christmas
among the crackled eucalypts
sand in your toes
salt in your eye lashes
blow flies floating in the drinks
rumple in your crumple
ants in your pants

Should I jump or not?
Seems a shame to turn back now
Leave teddy behind

Give it one more shot
