Thanks Pamela. Even I,have a dark side. I am staying up til the wee hours to watch the world cup ( Australia verses Germany )in a couple of hours time.If the Germans win that rumbling you hear outside your window in Mexico will be me cursing:)
I haven't participated in the One Single Impression prompts, so I'm not sure what fuss was made, but I don't see how they can argue with the poem's line of argument. And it's especially appropriate given the word "oubliette".
Thank you Francis and I share your opinion. The people responsible who profess to be of the Christian faith ? remove poems they deem to be vile, cruel and an embarrassement to the site. Quite frankly I am embarrassed to have been associated with a site which is run by those of such dubious intellect, and fascist tendencies. This poem obviously does not fit into any of these categories and from an ideological objective supports Christian theology.
I missed something along the way. Every time I went to OSI this week it acted viral on my computer. As for this piece of poetry, the first word that entered my mind upon finishing my first read? Exactly. Exactly!
Enough said. If they removed your poem, I will no longer post there.
You have my support. 100% Sheesh, this hits a nerve.
Rather dark and deep for a Sunday morning, Rall. A bit like the oubliette!
ReplyDeleteWV: amano !
It's Sunday night here. Sorry ...hope I haven't spoilt your day. Enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteWord verificationer is a bit of joker!

ReplyDeleteUP THE AUSSIES!!!
ReplyDeleteWe got royally thrashed Derrick on the Queen's
ReplyDeleteBirthday ( public holiday) here today.
Few words...say a lot.
ReplyDeleteYes Harshad, quite so, and evidently touched a raw nerve amongst those who only have one single impression or thought between them!
ReplyDeleteI think every one grows in her own way.
ReplyDeleteOne day we will all be free - out of this oubliette.
God bless all.
Roundabout to get here - interesting that you were 'outcast' - so many minds are locked in righteous boxes.
ReplyDeleteSeems so. Rather primitive reaction though. Definitely has a touch of the Salem Witch Trials about it :)
