POW PROMPT 8

PROMPT 8 ...POETRY ON WEDNESDAY

We have been up and running for two months already . Doesn't time whizz by? I am huddled here in furs and you lot are sipping cool drinks by the pool enjoying the cicadas. So, to celebrate your summer, next week's poem is called ' Twilight in Summer '. Choose a piece of music that
expresses summer twilight and put it on for next week. Make sure it is on you tube so that we can listen to it while reading your poem. Oh, and I almost forgot....in terza rima sonnet form please.
I think this is easier than the Shakespearean or the Petrarchan sonnet form...good one for those who have not written a sonnet before. The use of iambic pentameter is optional. Viv and I wrote some examples of IP in the last post as examples. Looking forward to discovering your musical tastes and as always your interesting and enjoyable poetry .
Ciao

  5. Well, here we go again! Reminds me of the quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes: "one's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.”
    Time to start stretching!

  10. You mean like...

    Szła dzieweczka do laseczka.
    Do zielonego - ha, ha.
    ...?

Sweeney is/was a local radio DJ in Manchester.
The Abba line was his catchphrase. Don't think he ever played any...

  11. I am pleased to note that some of you are very enthusiastic about this prompt. A person who shall remain nameless is so excited that she
has submitted 100 summer songs for the prompt.
...just a tad excessive I think!

  13. OK POB ...google the name of the song with youtube after it and it will come up as a video to click on.If you don't know how to to get it on your site just put the correct title in your post and we will find it ourselves.
e,g John Williams Prelude no.3 Villa Lobos.

I do not know how to do it properly . As you can see my videos keep morphing into some other
rubbish and you have to wait to get the correct video. When you find out how to do it
properly this POB would appreciate the information.

  14. I did this;
    Googled Artist + Title
    Clicked on video
Copied link and pasted to my blog.
You have to watch the video separately, or open another window.
