Muddy Extract Plucked from a B Grade Movie

Allo, I'm Home !
Do you have a
bitter sweet kiss
for me Cato?
Is that a drooping eye
gloss purple bruised
I see before me?
A hard right hook to
your china doll face peut-etre?
Is that your gourd-like head
I see hiding behind the curtains?
Non.
Eh bien
Surprise!

  1. Do you have an encyclopedic memory for appropriate film clips, Rall?! I'm not a big Sellers fan but this was fun.

  2. Ah,fun..there is not enough of it.I am reluctant to make a comment Derrick, on my encyclopedic skills ( and I say this with great trepidation) as it seems to provoke antagonism and hostility in certain sections of the readership.

  3. I love that scene. Even knowing, it makes me laugh.
The parallel series is definitely a good idea.

(please let me know if I piss you off. I can be rather dense)

  4. I have the same reaction to that scene. Peter Seller's humour is my kind of humour. I like doing these video clips. Great fun.You should try it.
    Dense? I don't think so.

  5. it's the middle of the night here, and I don't want to wake up the house by listening to a video clip...but the gourd-like head hiding behind the curtains is going to give me a nightmare. LOL.

  10. Very clever, Rall. You have an interesting way with wordles. (I'm one who will pass on the 100 words though. LOL) Hmm, I wonder what caused the drooping eye to be gloss purple bruised.

  11. Cato and Inspector Clouseau indulge in fisticuffs as a way of life Diane.

  12. This could only happen for me by sheer luck, serendipity as it were. I would have to be much bolder than I am to commit to the linkage you intend. It seems of course that first you find the clip, then write the poem.

I write in response to stuff for most of my work. How else can I write one or more a day?
