3WW...lumber bubble wreck
FOR CHINA
saturday before wednesday week ago
i thought it would be my last
fevered and finished
listening to the trickle
of the fountain
dark grey sky
cuddled huddled together
under the maroon duvet
watched
by a large bubble glass vase
overflowing with roses
in a near empty hotel
toxicity is on a tour thank god
lumbering around a remote temple
with his spiritual leader
peace and quiet reign
if i have to go
this is a good exit
and the best thing
to know and never forget
if i survive
is i am important to you
you are with me
no-one could care for me more
and i thank you
next day the sun comes out
i am a wreck but still alive..just
pretty amazing the things we notice around us.... death, dying and living not alone... i like that...
ReplyDeletelove the sunshine ending, well done.
ReplyDeletewell...glad you survived...but if this was it, it might not be a bad way to go...smiles.
ReplyDeleteHa..against medical advice...I got on the next available flight out...thems the rules here..if you get really sick, get to the airport...you stand a better chance...nice to be sakit in my own bed again..no fountain or room service...but that's OK!
ReplyDeleteoh dear how horrible that you were so sick away from home.I hope your better now.
ReplyDeleteEffective use of the three words this week. I hope your recovery is a speedy one.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to be alive.. andit may not be a wreck..could be just an illusion..
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your good wishes...
ReplyDeleteIsn't extraordinary the need to get back home no matter how sick you are. I suppose it is a perceived safety in familiarity with what you comfortable with. Here's to the next trip!
ReplyDeletePerceived safety? ...Errrr...not quite oldegg!Third world medical facilities leave a lot to be desired...especially in countries who refuse to allow western doctors and nurses to
ReplyDeletepractise as medical practitioners. The next trip ? ( yes, there will be one but not until I'm fighting fit)
I'm glad you got back to safety, and probably peace of mind. It's always a bit dodgy to get sick abroad. I was once stopped, in the centre of Helsinki, by a Canadian tourist who asked me "Do you have aspirin in Finland? I've got a headache."
ReplyDeleteHa..you should have told him that you don't have aspirin in Finland ,just schnapps (works the same:)
