Reflection

dverse..sunday scribblings...poetry jam

there is something out there
i feel it when i work
he feels it when he works
i feel it in words as they slide
into my eyes down to my heart

...a connection

i see it in the face of  China
i see it in the face of my cats
i saw it in my Grandfather's quiet sadness
i see in the treetops from my window

...a presence

i have always known it

...before

before i could even talk
could even express myself
the knowing spirit
took up residence in my head
refusing to leave

  3. So intriguing. I feel as though we are surrounded by mystery and we ARE mystery and somehow that's what this poem is trying to probe.

  5. The connection with the spiritual is beautifully expressed, i love the questioning and the searching, it is a very well crafted work of art.

  11. A beautiful REFLECTION on connections. I do understand what you are expressing here, the feeling of connection that is sometimes not able to be explained logically!

    1. Mary I don't think the connection to God or his existence can ever have a scientific logical explanation.

  12. Sigh ... this coupled with the piece of video is wonderfully humbling. One man's epiphany so beautifully rendered ...

  15. In ways we do not comprehenf, ould it be:

    Whoever loves
    knows God,
    because God is love?

    2. Then the real questions begin!
Has this God of love been revealed to us and can we know God with our minds as well as recognise him in our hearts?
