  1. such a vibrant little poem! the "yes yes yes" certainly adds a hint of expectation to it. and yes, matisse. his works have such a child-like quality about it, yet so intense, and vibrant. (sorry, have use the same word twice) :)

  2. Oh, I wish I did. But I may know Matisse well enough to pretend. WOW!

  3. You took me back to Paris, where my daughters and The Good Husband traveled in both heat and cold. It was the trip of a lifetime. And then, of course, I got to see the Matisse exhibit in NYC. Life is wondrous.

  4. Why do all the women he painted appear to have bums and thighs on the large size? I am a philistine and do not know the answer to this question.

    1. You're a guy so you can probably work the answer out for yourself.( Think lust!:) Matisse was a heterosexual French man who was an artist, not a couturier.

  7. I thank you.

I have discovered a great work of art, described by this artist as " ... the fruit of my whole working life. In spite of all its imperfections I consider it as my masterpiece”.. A work of unconditional love offered to a simple woman who cared for him in his time of need.
