Poetry Jam; Three Word Wednesday

the outline of truth no longer fuzzy
i look into the ball and finally see
the sharp deliniations of depressing reality

i eat my first sweet orange in weeks
smile at the jacaranda winking purple at me
through my bedroom window

know there is a God who loves me
who allowed me to exceed my baggage
allowance by 21 kilos without penalty

open my poetry blog
share my innermost thoughts
with the lovelies
who sustain me in the storms
with their warm kind  words

becoming as important
to my well being
as freshly steamed artichokes
with a vinaigrette sauce
crusty baguette, a ripe brie
and a glass of chilled champagne

  4. Now you've left me hungry!
I understand that last stanza. My August break ran into October and I found I really missed those online connections!

  6. I do agree with you about the 'comfort' of being heard by friends in the blogosphere....there definitely is a lot of warmth shared between poets! Hope you had a nice vacation.

  7. Reality is never depressing - it just is, The way we look at reality, now that can prompt depression. A few glasses of wine and a nice meal can make all the difference, so enjoy.

    Welcome back.

  10. I think no matter how and where we are, this is how God intended for us to be at this very moment. All a part of a big, unpredictable plan!

  11. As God allows us all free will we make our own choices....God is mistakenly held accountable for a lot of things that are entirely the result of human decisions. We are responsible for our actions
