Midweek Motif PU
the perennial child sees
sheep in the sky
horses in the waves
the chinaman in the peanut
madame poire's big bottom

faces in the branches
palm fronds dancing
ladies purses in the garden

kites in love
sail boats in the puddle
the shark in the bath
boredom
a lack of vivid
imagination
sometimes
a welcome respite from
a world of adventures

Oh this is absolutely perfect..! Indeed boredom occurs due to lack of imagination.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully executed :D
Lots of love,
Sanaa
Madame Poire is quite enticing. Why can't I find a pear (pair) like that?
ReplyDeleteYes - as a person with a head which doesn't come equipped with an off switch I quite empathise with a momentary pause in imagination...although being a perennial child must have its advantages I guess!
ReplyDeletelove the entertaining lines...boredom is indeed a lack of vivid imagination....
ReplyDeleteor too much adventure can result to boredom?
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I don't think this child gets bored--though she may seek respite in song or in sleep!
ReplyDeleteOh I so enjoyed this! I especially loved the sheep in the sky!
ReplyDeleteLuv this poem. It's like a picture with your very apt choice of images.
ReplyDeleteMuch love...
A nice take on the topic! (Smile.)
ReplyDeleteA fun poem to put boredom too.
ReplyDeleteThe imagination is such a wonderful place - boredom I realize has to come about on occasion (as long as we don't awaken to the shark in the tub.)
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Yes indeed! A vivid imagination is certainly a good way to prevent boredom! Good one, Rall.
