  3. Hmmm. This is a take on St. Patrick's Day that is totally new to me! So that's the origin story of your great land?!!

  4. Now our tourism minister is going to get cross with you. We were also a dumping ground for displaced and disgruntled people and became great being so.

    1. I actually killed a huntsman spider a couple of days ago. They are huge. Fortunately it was not on my computer because the best way is to clobber them with a shoe:)

  7. I very much smiled when I read this little installment. Rall You Rock!!!!!
I do disagree with the last comment, though, as these Aussie Chicks looked rather angelic . . . ooo la lala.

    1. Making folk smile may give me a few brownie points in the hereafter:)As a Catholic I am compelled by my religion to enjoy life here on earth....a lot of us seem to excel at this part of the doctrine... playing irish harps and downing them as well e.g.
We actually have one female Aussie Catholic saint...a feisty nun who told the Bishop to get stuffed , was excommunicated, kept on doing a whole lot of good things and was made a saint just recently:)
I am never going to tell the Bishop to get stuffed so I will probably never be made a saint ( that and other reasons:)Nice to see you here. Put a pen to paper and whip up a few masterpieces for PU. All the gals miss you!

  8. I have never been to Australia - but the thing that impresses me is that out of those unwanted people and beasts developed a thriving, independent and thankfully (in the best way) un-saintly country

  9. Oz makes them beautiful and fearless survivors. Something the English couldn't appreciate (apparently)

  10. I love the directions you took this, Rall! So much whimsy in this and since I'm the mayor of OZ... Walt

  11. Ha! Loved it, Rall... And yet there is beauty in Australia's terror and pluckiness, compassion, feistiness and goodness in the mish-mash of its populace.
