Now is the Month of Maying

Shadorma & Tanaga

autumn's here
dry leaves crisp and brown
crackle crunch
piled up high
fun to jump in scrunch
now is the month of maying
but not down under

we will wait for our spring
to do the 'maying ' thing
that northerners do
round now or june

it's time for our rest
we think it is best
to sleep like the bears
take respite from our cares

  2. Oh goodness The Kings Singers! How I love their acapella harmonies. You have lifted my spirits and sent me a wave of tuneful memories by sharing this beautiful song and your peaceful, waiting poem. Thanks!

  3. I'm glad for the reminder of the other parts of the world that aren't in the same season as me right now. Fun song...thank you, for sharing!

  4. I love autumn, and poems about the seasons, like this one. It's spring here, with summer knocking on the door...

  6. This is wonderfully written, Rall, it reads really good. Autumn and Winter are nice in their own way but it is hard to beat the freshness of Spring. We don't get much Spring here in Southeast Texas, most times only a few days as it jumps from Winter to Summer fast. We've been to 90 already.
