Blessed Be The Orange Sky Pair

Nick Marchesi and Lucas Patchett

What you do unto the least of my brethren
you do unto me
Matthew 25:40

AUSTRALIANS OF THE YEAR
two wonderful young men
provide showers
and laundry facilities
in orange vans for the
homeless

may God bless them
and all the volunteers
for showing compassion
giving
a little piece of dignity
to the
unwanted
shunned
forgotten
by the spawn of mammon
who rule and live amongst us
in overwhelming numbers

angels give comfort
a little piece of paradise
to the homeless

  1. Indeed, bless them and others who heed this calling. As long as we have people without homes we'll need these angels.

  3. I think to do rather than to say what you think you should do (or somebody else should do) is poles apart - true religion just maybe getting your hands dirty and remembering there but for the grace of god.. The orange van men are true blessings..as are you ;)

  4. Now THOSE are my kind of people, who dont just feel for the homeless, but do some boots on the ground helping..........what a wonderfully thoughtful program. Nothing makes a person feel better than a shower. I cant think of a better thing to offer the homeless - besides a home.

  9. It is not hard for each of to help one another. Whether it is giving to reputable charities, volunteering or just simply helping someone across the road. Sadly our society fall far short of being an integrated one...one day perhaps!

  10. Wonderful to read a tribute to others, who do so much for others. Like the way you've laid your poem out too. Nice one
