Requiem

today marks a change
for the whole world

a new path
has been forged

to what?

a return to the dark ages
the only glimpse of light
being
the gold plated taps
in the trump tower

    1. There are millions of Americans like you who have to live with this situation. No need to apologise. The worst thing is you seem to be powerless to change anything because of this entrenched political set up you have that enables judges to be appointed for a life time tenure and a congress so stacked with Republicans that legislation cannot get passed.I don't know what the solution is.It seems to be a big mess.Anyway somebody will work something out somehow someday.Meanwhile we will all keep on keeping on.
I am so sorry for your country. I mean, we have our jackasses down here but they are not a patch on yours:)Americans do everything BIG! LOL

  5. Exactly. Nailed it. I agree with you, the system itself thwarts any real change from happening. In Canada, we have Parliament, with five parties representing peoples' interests whose voices are heard daily. It works better than two main parties, for sure.

  6. Yup, we Americans do everything in a Big Way, including putting a guy in the White House with Big Orange Hair. God help the whole world.

  7. Yes, so very true. I will never consider this individual my president. I cannot believe the stupidity of the people who promoted and elected him. The media bears much responsibility as well. Hillary was no saint, but she was not a danger to the world. And, if one looks at those people that he is thinking of as his cabinet, it is like the white old men's club, except for David Clarke, the cowboy sheriff. Oh, and yes...Sarah Palin! These are dangerous times.
