heat wave
spritely hautbois
counter tenors
cold beers
screeching cockies
laughing kookaburras
the distant howl of the dogs
purcell full blast
sound the trumpet
a splendid juxtapostion
past the black stump
out back of beyond
a delightful delirious rendition
of wonderful insanity
inspiring a poem
just because i'm happy

ReplyDeleteA long time ago someone said that the best way to appreciate singing was to ignore the words and consider it music from a hybrid wind/string instrument. Thesse guys bring in the brass section!

Oh this does make me so happy - glorious sound & you've had a bit of fun with your poem - indeed, it is "sprightly" as they sing - I do love Purcell & the instruments of the English court - (baroque style) - of course, the best is when they let loose & start jiving with a more mediterranean(or perhaps latin) inspired flavor & the choir, and the counter-tenors get to improvise & show-off. Quite a fun arrangement! Thanks for sharing. :-)
