I remember when it was considered cool and glamorous. The adults seemed terribly sophisticated back then puffing like engines.........I had an aunt that continued smoking even with lung cancer. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat final stanza is a bulls-eye. Magnifique. Did you make up the Moliere magique? I started smoking at 17 for exactly these reasons and count each day as a gift. A fine poem.
