Silence

in the wee hours
the fridge humming
the clock ticking
a calm settles over the place

this is my precious time
my special time
i look forward to this
all day long

propped up against big colourful cushions
in oversized animal print pyjamas
eating  a cold mango
or sipping a baileys on ice
i sink into luxurious thoughts
escape for a few hours
my sticky fingers typing with love

  8. I, too, relish these moments of solitude before the onrush of activity. Your images bring me to this solitude so fluidly!

  9. I guessed you were a night owl. We can derive pleasure from the simplest of things yet are urged to be greedy to feed the rich! (P.S. I loved your comment elsewhere about the maid that revelled in pushing a shopping trolley).
