Afternoon Swim

it's  autumn now
still swimming weather
the waves dark blue
furl into a pale turquoise
with white froth

the shag swims near me
catches a small fish
unbothered by my presence
my only company today
the best this week so far


i bow to the sky
i beam smiles to the waves
my redeemer lives
