Shadorma

pull and tug
ongoing battle
mind and heart
blind freddy
could even see that
she was deluding herself

a failed hope
last attempt to find
that someone
a soul mate
crossing her pathway
bearing peace lilies not hurt

  1. Hope is so difficult to give up... even when fed by delusions (perhaps, especially when make-belief is all it has to eat).

  2. Interesting how we delude ourselves in believing in our minds over our hearts. I have found the opposite to be true....connecting to my heart I find happiness especially when I am not looking for it. Your words brought back vivid memories.

  4. The last time I tried that, it was the final nail in the coffin. Smiles. I love the line about someone bringing peace lilies, not hurt. Wouldnt that be nice! It is so true that our hearts know what our minds take longer to discover. We are such creatures of hope.

  7. Sometimes the heart does not want to recognize what the mind knows. It is hard to give up that hope sometimes, and we try not to.

  9. "bearing peace lilies not hurt" Wow.
We can only wish them well, even when they are lost hopes.

  10. So much of life is like that. I try to bounce back after each disappointment, for what else can one do?

  13. So well done.
It is difficult to know which path to take at times, and we ignore what our heart is attempting to tell us, our minds full of 'what if's' based on past experience.
We must hang onto that hope, for without it, each attempt at finding a soul mate is clouded by doubt - presuming failure...
