A Symphony of Tennis Grunts

anyone for tennis ?
i remember ladies tennis
hit miss and giggle
playing the ball to each other
without aggression and grunting
the soft pop of tennis balls
on a saturday afternoon
pitchers of lemonade and half time oranges
a genteel  pleasant game
alas no longer

the thwack of  deadly missiles
break the speed barrier
screaming and grunts
at the wimbledon war games
yes folks
tennis  porn at its best

  1. I will have to take your word for it. I never watched or played tennis. Tennis porn, food porn, it all seems like things we enjoy have turned into porn or crack these days.

  2. This is spot on. Watching tennis these days can be an orgasmic experience...not for the viewer, but for the participants--or so it would seem! It's kind of a metaphor for a lot of things these days...politics and the like...in that winning the game has become the only objective. How you go about it, and the loss of integrity that may come about in the process, is secondary or doesn't matter at all.

  4. Its so true...lol. the women are so athletic and they play at such a high level. To me its fun to watch, I just don't want to be the one they are aiming at!!!

  5. This made me remember the gentle tennis games of my youth, indeed a contrast to the deadly games of the present. Speaking of which, temperatures in Toronto reached 40 degrees Celsius this weekend and they were RACING HORSES in it. Unbelievable!

I am so envious of your 40c summer. Our weather is spring like 23c(lovely) at the moment considering it is the middle winter but still I'm counting down the weeks till I can swim again.

  7. I am trying to remember who the best grunter was. Was it Maria Sharipova?

  8. It conjures strong arms and fast returns together with the familiar grunts. They need to be a 'he-man' to win these days!

  9. I've watched the intensive competitiveness from the far sidelines. All sports have gotten that way and with unbelievable salaries for the players resulting in atrocious admission prices.
