DREAMER -

pitter patter
pitter patter
aha aha
thud
BOOM

crack crackle
splintering
sizzle

sparkling shimmering
twinkle  twinkle stars
diamonds in the sky
blurry vision
steamed up specs
breathless

QUERULOUS
quivering jibbering wreck

SWOON

GASP

GONE

CRASH

  1. Ah, the nature of such dreams can lead to certain misguided believes too. I like the sounds you so effectively use here.

  2. Oh! Visually and aurally, what's most fun about this poem is the surprise of it. Maybe that's the effect that comics--and profound poets like ee cummings--are aiming for. Reading, I sympathized with the fantasies, and fell into the flowers with your Man.

    1. Very unwise pf you to fall into the flowers with Herbie, Susan. Incidentally Herbie is not this profound poet's MAN:) Couldn't handle the competition:)

  3. Nothing but a dreamer's lot is full of such thud, crash, gone, boom...no fun :)
(I don't see ads in my blog but a box pops up saying visitors will see ads and this can be stopped if I upgrade my blog to paid plans of WordPress which I am not doing. I use the free version.)

  4. This was fun! I would have liked to respond to the prompt with some humour but am dreadfully tired today. So I was happy to see that you did. Loved it. Rather overwhelming day for Herbie, lol.

  7. That Herbie sure has fun even if only in his dreams. I suppose dreaming can be fun for all of us. Thanks for this Rall.
