Bees actually do get drunk on pollen. Like people, sometimes they get rowdy

Drunk on sweet nectar. I usually watch my drinks on summer days as sometimes they do fly into the cup.
Lets hope you allowed him to stay a little while to sober up or else he'll be in trouble when he gets back to the hive.
