OctPoWriMo Day 25 - 28

For Senator Susan Ryan a feminist and humanitarian extraordinaire

The female politician who changed Australia.

" A woman's place is any place where decisions are made"

RIP   1942 - 2020

 DAY 25  -  Trinity Form

 break the shackles

 break the rules

 fight for freedom

 we started it

you finish it

we are tired

we are old

you are young

you keep going

keep them onside

we are smarter

than they are

grandmas taught us

how to survive

their grandmas taught

them survival strategies

we are strong

we are champs

go for it

win win win

DAY 26

youths the season made for joy

my spring has long since past

can still jump up and down

a vacuum in hand

i'm

the wonder woman cleaning band

balancing pots and pans

a poem germinating

in my housekeeper ears

keeping warm

dancing

on a cold spring day

 DAY 27  - shadorma

such kindness

so unusual

a stranger

shows concern

it has been a long time since

she  touched someones heart

it feels bad

to know that no friends

are around

not great news

razor sharp  reality

and not a surprise well its true

so grandma was right

after all

so was mum

these french chicks dont mess about

call it like it is

DAY 28

 1977

scenario

sandra throwing bernard's

designer clothes

into the street

from the top balcony of her terrace

just happened to call by

 with the perfect sound track

playing on my car radio for this drama

43 years later

the real life movie

still etched in my memory

makes me grin

 hilarious

wild times

bloody marvellous

  6. All your poems speak to a woman's strength -- especially at different times of life. Some lines are poignant; others celebratory. All a pleasure to read. How did we not dive into hot water? And when we face challenges, unexpected and common to us all, how we do appreciate the kindness of strangers. Even when we're older!
