ReplyDeleteListened to Jimmy Dorsey and thoroughly enjoyed. Just checked and this was recorded before my time - phew!

How I remember haunting the old record shops, and collecting the pop music records in the 1950's; I even rembere 'Tangerine'!
ReplyDeleteMy mother loved this song.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are brilliant! Put me in the shade, why don't ya? (We were on the same track with Kashmir.)
ReplyDeleteA couple of Aussie chicks haikuing their way through life...that's us !
ReplyDeleteHa, I like it!
Delete"Kashmir" made my heart beat a bit faster. Such a contrast--and reality--between what we see and what is.

Wonderful snippets to enjoy. Loved "Tangerine", which reminded me of songs that used to have words that were understood, and lyrics that made sense! So much of today's music is one or two lines, repeated endlessly over and over with a few "come on nows" thrown in. YUK
ReplyDeleteI like the frugal shoppers buying four sticks of cinnamon at a time. A few stores in the US still allow that...
