The Sunday Muse # 169

escape

she is leaving

on a bus to nowhere

no one will notice

she has gone

 just another statistic

in the missing persons file

maybe

the wheels on the bus

go round and round

better than the sad  train whistle

piercing the silence of the nighr

cattle trucks on their way

to  auschwitz

  3. Such loneliness and darkness in your poem. I hope she finds light at the end of her journey.

  7. It sounds like she escaped death just in time. I hope she found a good safe shelter.
