Warrumbungles
no light pollution out here
past the black stump
the warrumbungles
starfari heaven for astrophysicists
from all over the world
we lie on our banana beds
touch the stars with our finger tips
and know
the almighty is somewhere out there
overwhelming us with far too much beauty

I LOVE that name!!!!! And what a glorious sky! Loved this, Rall.
ReplyDeleteThis is simply gorgeous ....
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like heaven to me. I went to Hawaii once and I'll never forget the starlit skies there. And I simply love the name 'warrumbungles!'
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous place that gets in your soul. I love it out there too and it is a fabulous name. Suzanne of Mapping Uncertainty

ReplyDeleteThat line gave me goosebumps.
To be where it's just you and the stars...that would indeed be heaven.
ReplyDeleteSo good to know there is a place star magnitudes are so clear and close! I'm happy just for a faint star canopy when I walk early mornings nows.
