whales beach themselves sometimes
no one knows why
one could assume that this group of spectators
has much in common with them
it's never too late
to realise a dream of conducting
the sea symphony orchestra
party time
beats the bush barn dance
in the outback
edouard cortes painted
rich warm wonderful parisian scenes
never fails to evoke a gasp
popular with art thieves
one turned up in a thrift shop
in Maryland
oz without our sleepy bears
would be like
a sky without stars
a world without sunshine
SAVE OUR KOALAS
THANK YOU!!

making mittens for the burnt paws
of the koalas in last summers bush fires

So varied and wonderful. the madaari video made my eyes pop lol
ReplyDeleteA feast, each morsel delectable.
ReplyDeleteHow sadly true, your thoughts on a world without koalas.
Those spectators look as if they are about to get un-beached!
ReplyDeleteEach vignette.. food for thought, introspection and downright entertainment!
ReplyDeleteMittens for koala paws--what a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteI do worry for the koalas, and for all wildlife, really.
Yes, it does look like those people will end up in the wrong environment, like a whale on land, they'll be in the sea.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting string of reflections. Just thinking about the burnt paws of koalas is heartbreaking!
ReplyDeleteThe conductor at the ocean is my favorite. I too was straining to see if I could see a whale. The mittens for burnt paws brought me back to reality.
ReplyDeleteI'm drawn to the conductor on the beach, maybe in futility, directing the sea symphony.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's not too late to realize the dream?
interesting treat.
ReplyDeleteYes, what is Oz without the koalas.
Gah! The thought of those sweet sleepy koalas with burnt paws! I hope they survive this crazy world. That huge wave and the group of people who will soon be drenched (if they are lucky enough not to be swept out to sea) is an amazing photo. We see it here all the time, tourists with no idea that waves can suddenly come in and scoop people out to sea.
ReplyDeleteLove that first one!
ReplyDeleteI really love the sea symphony. And Oz without koalas is so very sad. Let's hope the sky remains starry and the day sunlit.
ReplyDeleteLove the painting, feel like the first koala.
ReplyDeleteYou take wondrous photographic images and make them even more wonderful with your words!
ReplyDeletei was heartbroken to hear about the koalas and the fires you suffered last summer, my part of the world was also hit pretty hard with forest fires, it has affected out wildlife quite severely
