Earthweal

 and the rains came

and did not stop

and ruined the crops

and ruined the harvest

and ruined the roads

and ruined the houses

and ruined lives

and when it finally stops

we can begin to prepare for the bush fires

o for the country life

  1. For us here in Central Oregon's high desert / mountainous land, rains mean devastating mud slides. Forest fires destroying so much of the landscape. I chuckled at your comment about Ms. Bev and me tripping the light fantastic with Mr. Travolta. Both Bev and I have been quite ill for over a week, not covid but upper respirator virus type thing. Miserable and just wanting to feel like my (old) self again. Cheers!

  2. You have been through it so you know how devastating the damage is. All those long sheds full of drowned cattle are so heartbreaking. Today, two more towns being evacuated. The cost of climate change is mounting. Glad you added your voice to the conversation, Rall.

  5. It is completely out of control. For how much longer can politicians ignore it and continue to pander to vested interests?
