You Must Believe In Spring - Bill Evans

 friday night music

always a hint of blue

in jazz

a crate of boulders

falls from the sky

flattens her

been let down so badly

once again

you must believe in spring?

not this year

  1. It does feel like that sometimes, that to believe in spring and keep the hope is the hardest thing... but yes, perhaps next year.

  2. I always try to believe in spring, but at this point in the year (over here) it can be hard!

  3. So sad that even spring is difficult this year. Are you affected by the terrible floods? Suzanne - Mapping Uncertainty

  4. Rall, I'm so sorry you are impacted by the drought and floods. It does feel like the sky falling when our home gets taken out from under us. I hope your place will be salvageable.

  5. This resonates with me. It seems like even the seasons that I have always trusted are not showing up like they used too. My worry for the planet can feel flattening at times.
    Thanks for sharing your poem.
