In Honour Of A 40 Year Friendship
he sent me a pic
of his little garden
tended to with love
his sweet old cat suns herself
on a spring afternoon
this kind soul
shines his wamth and compassion
on all those lucky enough
to know him or
to have been placed in his care

He sounds like a wonderful friend. I had one like that once. Sadly he passed a few years back. But what a gift such friendships are.
ReplyDeleteSweet cat, lovely garden. And such a loving tribute to a dear friend of long standing. Yes, I would say cat, plants and friends are blessed to be cared for by such a one.
ReplyDeleteA good friend is both gift and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHe was my G. P. (now retired )
ReplyDeleteI have a cat like that but he could never take the place of a friend like that.
ReplyDeleteOh Oh the most delightful of music choices, my feet are toe tapping, dancing on the floor as I type. I can imagine him, his garden and the kitty. My Oz friend has cancer that has spread from bowel to lungs, hard to treat ... I cannot imagine a world without him.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Aussie friend. Courage and prayers dear Helen.
ReplyDeleteSuch friendships are timeless.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful person. You are blessed to know him. :)
