but ended up with mavericks
with inflated egos
who forgot anniversaries
How clever! I love it! I never thought of using "ancient" that way. I was fortunate, my late husband (oh, not fortunate that he's "late") never forgot anniversaries. He worked nights and would call at a few minutes after midnight to say "Happy Anniversary." His women co-workers thought that was so romantic. Me? I didn't say so, but would have rather he let me sleep!
