SHADORMA
i felt safe at home
in my bed
lucky me
with all my toys to guard me
innocence enjoyed
And at this end of my life, I feel the same way, not innocent - but oh, how I love my bed! Smiles. I remember being in bed with all my books at age five. And every night since then.
Rall, your very sweet poem reminds me of "The Land of Counterpane" by Robert Louis Stevenson, for some reason.
I have always loved that poem
The poem is so cozy....Beautiful.
Rall,A beautifully succinct poem which explains the best of childhood contentment...
