Friday Writings # 142...Poets and Storytellers United

 NONET / PALINDROME

heartbreaking to watch his sad demise

                       he disintegrates before me

                          now unrecognisable

                         ravaged by cruel ill health

                            trim and taut no more

                               his beauty gone

                                  so strong bright

                                    handsome

                                       once

  3. Skilful nonet, palindrome and ekphrastic. And, as it should be, the well-expressed emotion takes precedence, to make for a moving read.

  6. Yet another reason why being the healthier care giver bites. Empathy to all those who stay with loved ones in sickness as in health.
