What's Goin On

august is a wicked month

will be glad to see the back of it

winter can pack its bags

good riddance

tis the season

 of maelstrom and mayhem

around the world

in personal life as well

bring on la primavera

one week to go

can cope better with

fragrant  blossoms

blue skies

bird chorus

longer days

and of course

goes without sayin

mangoes

  1. Ha, I always have to remember you live where it is WINTER now. Thus, I don't blame you for saying you will be glad to see the back of August. That is the way I always feel about OUR winter months as well! Ah-- mangoes!

  2. So amazing to think of our opposite seasons changing on both sides of the world. Our days are drawing down with earlier darkness already. Lovely that mangoes will be part of that change for you.

It seems that both sides of the world have difficulty with August. It doesn't live up to its august name!

  6. Aah mangoes - how juicy and sweet - we are fading into winter as you bloom into summer - I hope it will be a happier time for you - Jae

  7. I love the upside-down-ness of ‘Down-under’, Rall, when we are at opposite ends of the seasonal spectrum. As you are leaving winter, we are on the verge of it. I love the alliterative phrase ‘maelstrom and mayhem’, and that’s what it feels like right now. Mangoes are always welcome.
