When is a taiga not a taiga....when it is a tanka :)
TAIGA

in the forest of the night
a sky without moon

it does not last for ever

FANDANGO'S STORY STARTER # 189
The old photographs made her conscious of her age,of how much time had passed and of what an interesting life she had.
Old age had arrived and it was just as she had suspected ... awful ! Aches and pain and varicose veins (WHAT ! ) No one would want to do a drawing of her now. However she would decline any offer to live it all over again. It was just too exhausting and even now there is no respite. Miraculously she has survived this far. Her guardian angel must be working overtime. He probably needs a break as well.

She is wise to decline to live her life all over again. As good as one’s life may have been, the sequel is rarely as good as the original. Thanks for joining in.

ReplyDeleteFascinating piece, Rall, and blending of prompts well done. - Eugi
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely presentation. The verses, the prose, and the brilliant artistic accompaniment all came together perfectly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job on the taiga, Rall. We chose black and white photos for the taiga (like haiga) because of printing costs on the books for the Sunflower Tanka Anthology. I hope you had fun. I love the black and white images!
ReplyDeleteGreat taiga, Rall! I often feel that my guardian angel looks like that. Lol!
