W3 Prompt..#.208...the Skeptics Kaddish... + FRIDAY WRITINGS # 224... POETS and STORYTELLERS UNITED

she loved tino's voice
an old fashion choice

recipe for a happy life
get yourself a good french wife
my memere was one
she had lots of fun
grandpa was lucky
he thought she was great
the food she served him
he ate and ate
she taught me how to make
mayonnaise
long before it became a craze
she knew about things
like creaming elbows
having nice skin and massaging toes
she dabbed grandpas temples
with eau de cologne
something he liked that made him moan
she sang tino rossi songs to her canary
that sweet  little  yellow bird
flitting round like a fairy
i miss them both so very much
life's not the same without their touch

  5. I too love, love, love Tino Rossi's voice – but in other ways am sadly unlike her – e.g. never found much joy in cooking, and like to do the quick and easy kind (but can certainly relate to those who enjoy the good cooking of others).

  11. Rall,

I your line “she sang tino rossi songs to her canary” makes me imagine such a warm, kind home, and it sort of makes me miss them too even though I never met them...

    Much love,
