Whats Going On....Sumana's Prompt ...when nature takes your breath away

The Moreton Bay Fig Tree
we are looking at magnificence
the  moment when nature takes your breath away
These ancient trees hundred of years old
have witnessed the barbarism of humanity
ANZAC DAY
is celebrated this weekend in Australia
LEST WE FORGET

it lasts forever
when horror takes your breath away
when heritage magnificent trees were murdered on Anzac Parade Sydney in 2016
by a SCUM government
to make way for  light rail transport

MOURNING century old fig trees

Protesters to wear black every night as Anzac Pd fig trees are cut down

  1. I cannot tolerate destruction of trees in the name of anything. I am so aggrieved and angry reading your lines Rall: "when heritage magnificent trees were murdered on Anzac Parade Sydney in 2016 / by a SCUM government / to make way for light rail transport". So disgraceful.

  2. It is terrible when the Old Ones are removed - instead of moving the railway line, or road or whatever.........those trees are breathtaking indeed. The barbarism of humanity indeed. No end to it, it seems.

  3. "when horror takes your breath away" after you've experienced magnificence, and then see it destroyed. There are no words for that evil. I'll remember.

  4. So very sad that many of those ancient fig trees were destroyed! So very cruel and thoughtless.

  6. That is a magnificent tree! I see trees being cut down in many places,
and you have to wonder if it was the only choice.
